Let in the Sun came to us with an ecommerce website built in Mangeto. Their previous web development agency hadn’t managed to integrate a booking and payment method having spent 18 months on the project. We were approached as to redevelop the project because of our outstanding reputation for building Magento websites and advance Magento development.

Technology

Despite our experience with Magento ecommerce we quickly realised that it wasn’t the best technology for their business model. We recommended building the website from the ground up using a heavily customised Drupal, with an integrated booking and payment gateway. Their need for custom forms for the property database and complex booking system was much better catered for by the development of bespoke modules. As well as being a full featured content management system, Drupal can also be configured as an ecommerce platform. The founders of Let in the Sun recognised that for the long term success of the business, Drupal was the best choice.

Benefits and Results

During the initial business strategy discussions it was highlighted that the Let in the Sun would be followed by a number of more specialised brands. This led us to re-design and re-brand Let in the Sun to achieve a more aspirational look and feel which in turn has attracted a higher end property to the site. The site has grown quickly in the early days and will be undertaking a large digital marketing push.

We re-developed and re-designed Let in the Sun’s website to deliver a fully featured online travel agent website with custom forms for property uploads and a secure booking and payment system. Let in the Sun set out to create a website dedicated to holiday property rentals that is simple and cost effective for property owners and delivers a more rewarding experience for holiday markers and by using the best technology for the job, we were able to deliver it.
