Online payments as we know them are changing. New EU legislation coming in on the 14th September 2019 tightens regulations and requirements around the handling of payments and card data. The new legislation will be known as PSD2.
The FCA, however, have announced the legislation will be delayed for 18 months in the UK only. The organisation announced they won't be taking enforcement actions from the 14th on businesses operating in Europe, so long as they have taken necessary steps towards compliance. ...And the story of how two unlikely organisations drove innovation in the Drupal Platform.
While delivering continual support for an energy clients Drupal website, we wanted to implement a Postcode Lookup feature, with auto-complete functionality. Existing solutions were either too basic or needlessly expensive, but we couldn’t justify building a new solution from scratch. As luck would have, I discovered at our weekly Drupal 8 meeting that my colleagues working on a Not-For-Profit site required autocomplete capabilities for the address lookup on the donations page.
Google has recently rolled out a new feature that allows users to add a 3rd title line and 2nd description to text ads. This feature will be available to use for all advertisers from the end of August 2018. The update will allow businesses to identify themselves effectively and test different combinations of ad copy, whilst leaving room for unique selling points in that make-or-break title space.
