We're looking for an ambitious Bid Manager to support and transform the CTI Digital bid process

As Bid Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and co-ordinating the strategies that win CTI Digital new business. You’ll be involved at every stage, from identifying the right tender opportunities and qualifying enquiries and referrals, to bid acceptance and contract

Pitching is part art and part science. As a Bid Manager, you’ll be adept at co-creating exciting approaches to our pitches and steering them to fruition. You'll have a meticulous approach to organisation that ensures deadlines are never missed, pipelines never dry up, and the people who need to be, are always in the loop.

A Bid Manager will:

  • Develop and co-ordinate winning bid strategies from initial qualification to contract.
  • Manage the bid team and collaborate with creative, technical and strategic leads to prepare each bid.
  • Ensure outgoing collateral meets the highest standards and contains the appropriate pricing model.
  • Co-manage the new business pipeline and co-ordinate resource against critical deadlines.
  • Identify suitable tender opportunities, qualify inbound enquiries and referrals, direct expressions of interest, responses and proposals.
  • Work with the marketing team to increase awareness and leads in specific technologies/sectors.
  • Write and design engaging case studies, pitch presentations and other collateral including technical or sector-specific content.
  • Organise responsibilities matrix and due dates for all deliverables; acknowledging, logging and circulating tender documentation, updating CRM, and scheduling bid meetings.
  • Liaise with prospects throughout the bid development process, manage the clarification and bid acceptance process, and circulate additional information obtained to the wider bid team.
  • Embed best practice, risk management and quality management for all bids and tracking, and report to director-level colleagues.
  • Become and remain an expert on the solutions provided by CTI Digital.
  • Work alongside the Business Development Manager (BDM) to challenge and shape solutions to ensure proposals are competitive and meet client requirements.
  • Work with the BDM and the Creative Director to develop innovative ways of conveying the pitch to our clients.
  • Support sales and Client Services teams in preparing for pitches, presentations, site visits and wider interactions.
  • Own the bid management framework, continually streamlining and identifying efficiencies.
  • Build an extensive library of standardised proposal content to markedly increase bid efficiency.
  • Attending partner and third-party meetings, workshops, events, conferences, and away-days.

 

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Know digital marketing inside out and thrive in the fast-paced, high-pressure agency environment.
  • Have excellent literacy, numeric and verbal communication skills.
  • Be astute. Nothing gets past you, and when you need to produce a complex bid to a tight word limit, every detail is correct.
  • Be able to multi-task and manage tasks under your own initiative to tight deadlines, without compromising speed or standards.
  • Be experienced in handling new business enquiries, and liaising with prospective client or partner organisations.
  • Be able to use a range of Google Drive, Microsoft Office, Adobe and CRM products

  • Able to collaborate with a team to get results.
  • Enjoy working face-to-face with colleagues and partners.
