We are on the lookout for a Drupal Support Technician, who can offer additional technical expertise and positive problem-solving to our well-established team.

CTI offers the opportunity to work collaboratively on challenging projects, delivering high-quality solutions for respected clients.

As a Drupal Support Technician, you will be tasked with diagnosing issues with Drupal sites, implementing fixes and answering queries for a variety of multinational clients. In order to provide the best quality reactive support for our clients, we also have a rota system, for technical support beyond our working day.

CTI follow agile principles and have a keen focus on ensuring our technical infrastructure enables our teams to perform to their best. We will, of course, provide full training on our processes and ticketing, monitoring and deployment systems. But before all of that: you can expect an informal interview, followed by a coding test, so we can see how you approach technical problems.

A Support Technician will:

  • Respond efficiently to specific faults and queries.
  • Provide excellent client service, working alongside first line support, account management and system administration teams.
  • Apply security updates to Drupal sites, as and when they are released.
  • Assist with planning and implementing small-scale development with our QA team.
  • Help to review and onboard existing code bases for new clients.
  • Deliver out-of-hours support on a roll-on/roll-off rota.

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • Experienced - using Drupal 7 & 8, from front-end and back-end perspectives.
  • Pragmatic - able to diagnose and troubleshoot problems across multiple code bases and at different layers of the technology stack
  • Familiar with Drupal-related system administration and hosting concepts.
  • Well-organised - to manage, prioritise and progress multiple issues.
  • A good communicator - to provide concise, professional responses and updates, to clients and other members of the CTI team.
  • Positive - with an adaptable, can-do attitude.

Other desirable traits include:

  • Good knowledge of the Git version control system, Continuous Integration development workflows and Vagrant-based virtual machines.
  • Experience with the following are all advantageous:
    • Drupal 7 Features-based development workflow
    • Drupal 8 configuration management system
    • Linux-based server diagnostics via SSH
    • MySQL database management and troubleshooting
    • The Drush command line utility
    • PHP web applications in general
    • Atlassian suite
