We are on the lookout for a Java Developer who can offer additional technical expertise and help to grow our well-established team.

As a Java Developer at CTI, you will be dedicated to one of our key clients, undertaking a mix of BAU and project work

CTI follow agile principles and have a keen focus on ensuring our technical infrastructure enables our teams to perform to their best. We will, of course, provide full training on our quality management and wider working practices.

As a Java Developer you will be specifically working on live platform change, including:  

  • Performance improvements
  • Bug fixing
  • Website maintenance 
  • Collaborating with our partner’s development team in London

Most importantly, you’ll be working directly with, and be mentored by, our lead Java and Grails developer, who will support you in all training and career development opportunities.  


Our ideal candidate will have the following technical expertise: 

  • Solid Java development experience (1.8, 1.9 and 1.11 are the current versions we are using)
  • Experienced with Grails development
  • Spring 
  • MySQL
  • MongoDB
  • Experience with working in a live system environment
  • Good understanding of JSP

Other desirable traits include:

  • Any experience of Java CMS e.g. JCR, Jahia would be advantageous but so long as you have a good understanding of JSP, we know you’ll be able to pick up Java CMS easily
  • Any previous experience with Docker
  • Linux or Unix
  • Front end experience, in particular any experience with JavaScript, jQuery, Polymer, ReactJS
