Client overview

The Greater London Authority (GLA) is a key governmental body responsible for supporting the Mayor of London and the London Assembly. Aiming to provide effective public services, the GLA operates with a vision to keep Londoners informed and engaged.

Our work with the GLA has focused on transforming their digital engagement platform to enhance accessibility and usability for all London residents.

The challenge

The GLA recognised the need to shift its digital presence from a static repository of information to a more interactive and user-focused platform.

Previously, their website struggled with fragmented content leading to confusion among users, a lack of engagement, which saw Londoners feeling disconnected from their local government, and inadequate responsiveness, particularly for mobile and tablet users, despite high traffic from these devices.

To effectively connect with over 8.63 million residents, the GLA needed a comprehensive solution to unify their digital presence, streamline content management, and improve user experience across their online platforms.

The approach

To achieve a modernised digital platform for the GLA, we implemented a strategic plan that included multiple key initiatives:
  • Discovery phase

  • Unified framework development

  • User research and persona development

  • Content migration strategy

  • Agile development methodology

  • Training and support

The results

Greater London Authority’s new digital platform has led to outstanding outcomes, reflecting the success of our collaborative approach.
  • Improved user engagement

  • Increased accessibility

  • Enhanced brand cohesion

  • Foundation for future growth
