9th January 2024: CTI Digital has appointed Matt Davies into the role of Chief Commercial Officer to bolster the agency’s growth agenda. In his remit, Matt is charged with developing and implementing a comprehensive growth strategy as CTI eyes holistic growth across its organisation. His appointment is a key component of a larger growth initiative as the business gears up for a significant year following a multi-million pound investment from private equity firm LDC.

Matt joins the company this month and will take immediate responsibility for CTI’s Sales, Marketing, Partnership and Client Service teams. He has been tasked with building out the Client Service function to ensure that the agency’s clients receive exceptional service and strategic advice and also with ramping up the Sales & Marketing activity as part of an ambitious growth agenda.

Matt has over 25 years’ experience across a broad range of creative, martech and media capabilities. His trademark is the orchestration of expertise and capabilities so that brands can deliver profitable growth across the marketing ecosystem.

His recent roles include a move to New York as Global Managing Director to lead the build-out of Coty’s full-service and globally operating digital transformation and innovation hub, Beamly; working with the Global Leadership team at OLIVER, to develop and launch the integrated agency proposition across creative, mar-tech, media and data; and as EMEA Managing Director at Strategic Brand Agency Bulletproof, fusing brand strategy, creativity and digital experiences.

On his role at CTI, Matt Davies said, “CTI Digital is a new and potent melting pot of talent, capabilities and entrepreneurialism. When you add to this, its unique combination of enterprise level technical expertise and ability to create human centric experiences that people enjoy, you have a very compelling mixture for growth. I am really looking forward to working with our teams to unlock CTI’s full potential for our clients’ business’’.

This appointment coincides with the first phase of a series of changes being introduced by CEO Chris Woodward. As part of the senior leadership restructure, Steve Gale will also assume the position of Senior Vice President of Business Development.
The agency is consolidating its six agency brands into one and they will all now operate under the CTI Digital banner. Work is also underway to develop a new positioning, including a new visual identity and logo as part of this.

Chris Woodward said: “It is great to welcome a colleague of Matt’s stature to CTI. He is one of a number of senior hires we will announce over the next months as we invest in our team to deliver on the huge potential that exists within our organisation. We are pursuing an ambitious agenda to own the enterprise technology and digital growth space in the market as the majority of our competitors only operate in one or the other. Consolidating our brands into one will allow us to deliver this more seamlessness for our clients and Matt will play a key role in delivering this.”
